Amination of 2,3,5,6,7,8-hexafluoro-1,4-naphthoquinone 4-(4-dimethylaminophenylimine) with secondary amines gives the corresponding 3-amino derivatives existing in solutions as a mixture of E and Zisomers about the C=N imine bond.
