Abstract: Spin-labeled cytisine derivatives containing stable pyrrolidine and piperidine nitroxyl radicals were synthesized by acylation and alkylation of the secondary amine. Toxicological studies showed that introduction of the nitroxyl group decreased significantly the general toxicity.
