Abstract: Single crystal X-ray diffraction is used to investigate the cocrystals of 3-(1-amino-2,2,2-trifluoroethylidene)-2-imino-1,1,4,5,6,7-hexafluoroindane (1) with 1,4-dioxane at temperatures of 100 K, 200 K, and 273 K. The study shows that compound 1 is in equilibrium with its tautomer: 2-amino-3-(1-imino-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-1,1,4,5,6,7-hexafluoroindene (1a).
