Abstract: Reaction of perfluoro-2-methylpent-2-ene: with ethylenediamine and hexamethylenediamine results in 9-fluoro-5,9-bis(pentafluoroethyl)-6,8,8-tris(trifluoromethyl)-1,4-diazabicyclo[5.2.0]nona-4,6-diene, whose structure was confirmed by X-ray analysis, and 11-pentafluoroethyl-10-trifluoromethl-1,8-diazabicyclo[7.2.0]undeca-8,10-diene, respectively. The reaction pathways are discussed.
