Abstract: An analysis of the substituents influence on the electrochemical potentials of aromatic and heterocyclic pi-systems has been made in the context of the dependence of the electronic substituent effects on the structure of the molecular pi-orbital concerned. Calculation schemes and parametrization. are proposed, enabling the quantitative evaluation of the electrochemical oxidation anal reduction potentials of substituted aromatic and heterocyclic compounds.
