Due to specific physicochemical and chemical properties, perfluorinated paraffins, ethers, tertiary amines, and their analogs are considered as a special class of compounds. A mathematical formula is proposed that relates the boiling point of a perfluorinated organic compound to the number of carbon atoms. Criteria for evaluating quality of these compounds and methods for their purification are proposed.
