A study has been made of reactions of polyfluorinated alcohols (beta,beta,beta-trifluoroethyl alcohol, alpha,alpha,omega-trihydroperfluorinated alcohols, n = 1-4, and pentafluorobenzyl alcohol) with unsaturated organofluorine compounds (hexafluorobenzene, octafluorotoluene, hexafluoropropene dimers and trimers, and perfluoro-1-ethylcyclohexene) in the presence of cesium fluoride, pyridine, and triethylamine. The structures of the products have been proved by H-1, C-13, and F-19 NMR and IR spectroscopy anal by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
