Abstract: The gas phase hydrodechlorination of chlorinated benzens and phenols on Pd/Al2O3 catalyst have been studied at temperatures 353-453 K. Two regions of reaction proceeding were found. At 400 K rate of reaction depends on diffusion of hydrogen. The relative reactivity in hydrodechlorination depends on position of chlorine atom in molecula. The chlorine is firstey removed from the para - and meta - position and more difficult - from orto - position. From the kinetic study follow, that hydrodechlorination of dichlorophenols is consecutive single - step processa: dichlorophenol --> chlorophenol --> phenol --> cyclohe- (sic).
