Abstract: The quantum yields of photolysis of 2-dialkyl(cycloalkyl)amino-1,4-naphthoquinones and of their 3-chloro derivatives in toluene were determined. They were compared with charges on the alpha-hydrogen atoms of the dialkylamino group and the quinone oxygen atom in an excited triplet (T1) state.
