Abstract: [4+2]-Cycloaddition of levopimaric acid to 1,2-naphthoquinone was used to prepare polycyclic 1,2-quinones, which are of interest as potential biologically active compounds. A new direction has been revealed in photoinduced cyclization of the adduct formed by 1,2-naphthoquinone and levopimaric acid. Pentanortriterpenoids of new structural types have been synthhesized.
