Abstract: The reaction of dibenzylphosphine oxide with myrtenoic acid nitrile in tert-butyl methyl ether in the presence of sodium hydride results in the formation of substituted aminophospholene oxide in good yield (83%). © 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
