Relative lability of nitro group in meta-substituted nitrobenzenes treated with 4-bromophenol was studied by means of the method of concurrent reactions. A correlation was established between the relative rate of nitro group replacement and σm-constants of substituents in these compounds. © 1998 MAHK "Hayka/Interperiodica".
