Abstract:
The reaction of perfluoro-2-methyl-2-pentene with thiourea in aprotic bipolar solvents gives 4,4-bis(trifluoro-methyl-5-(tetrafluoroethylidene)-2-aminodihydrothiazole, the structure of which was confirmed by 19F and 13C NMR and x-ray structural analyses. The mechanism of the reaction is discussed. © 1993 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
