A new method was developed for the preparation of 1,3-diarylbenzo[f]quinazolines by condensation of β-naphthylamine, an aromatic aldehyde, and ammonia and subsequent dehydrogenation of the initially formed dihydro derivatives. © 1978 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
