Abstract: 1. Perfluorodibenzoylmethane (I) reacts with hydrazine to form 3,5-bis-pentafluorophenyl-4,4-di-fluoro-5-hydroxypyrazoline (X). 2. Depending on the conditions, 1-phenyl-3,5-bis-pentafluorophenyl-4,4-difluoro-5-hydroxypyrazoline (VIII) and the monohydrazone of perfluorodibenzoylmethane (VII) are formed when ketone (I) reacts with phenylhydrazine. © 1972 Consultants Bureau.
