Abstract: A dinuclear Re(I) tricarbonyl complex, [Re2(CO)6(L)Br2], has been synthesized by the reaction of 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(diphenylphosphino)benzene (L) with 2 equiv. of Re(CO)5Br. In the solid state at 300 K, this complex emits untypical yellow-green phosphorescence (λmax ≈ 530 nm), which, upon cooling to 77 K, strongly enhances, the color of the complex turning to turquoise (λmax ≈ 505 nm). © 2020 Elsevier B.V.
