Abstract: A brief review summarizes the results of integrated pharmacological and physicochemical studies carried out in the Russian Academy of Sciences, focused on the supramolecular systems for the delivery of the molecules of medicinal substances based on water-soluble plant metabolites - polysaccharides and glycyrrhizic acid, as well as its derivatives. The promising potential of the development of medicines, dietary supplements and plant protection products of increased efficiency and safety is shown. The advantages of the solid-phase mechanochemical technology for obtaining water-soluble compositions of poorly soluble drugs are demonstrated.
