Abstract:
The reactivity of citronellal under supercritical solvent conditions in a flow reactor in the presence of Al2O3 is examined. It is shown that at 160A degrees C, the main transformation product of citronellal is isopulegol, and when the temperature is increased to 190A degrees C, they are monoterpenes with a para-menthane framework and myrcene.
